Hide those pesky cords

While we love smart home tech and entertainment around the home, loose cords can be an eyesore, taking away from your beautifully designed space. Invest in products like cord covers, or this cord management box, that helps hide cables and wires.

Give your throw blankets and pillows a place

Guilty of throwing those extra pillows or blankets from the bed to the floor at sleep time? Find a wicker basket with a cover to drop those decorative items into when they’re not needed.

Bring order to the junk drawer.

First step – purge any items you don’t need. Next step - organize. The Container Store is our go-to for drawer organization – these ones come in a few different sizes and are easy to clean.

Apply this to drawers in the kitchen, office or bathroom!

Upend under the sink

Relieve the stress of digging through kitchen cleaning products by installing rods and drawers. Place a rod on the cabinet door for quick access to garbage bags or paper towels. Having a pullout drawer will help make products easy to find and keep them organized in the process.

Tackle the dreaded pantry

You can do it! The Home Edit just released a new line dedicated to your entire pantry, helping make snacks, cans and other items sorted and easy to find. Just think about all the stale or expired goods you’ll no longer waste!

BONUS - Having trouble getting rid of ‘stuff’. Try this:

Place a sticker on items like appliances or clothing hangers and only remove once the item has been used. After a set period of time, say 3 months, go back and see which items still have stickers. This can help persuade you to ditch an item you never really use.
