Hampton Beach, NH

Hampton Beach is no stranger to fireworks—during the summer, they put on a show every Wednesday at 9:30pm with a special display on the Fourth. The show was on the verge of cancellation due to endangered piping plovers taking over the beach, but the newborn plovers have finally fled the coop!

Bristol, Rhode Island

Known as America’s most patriotic town, Bristol, Rhode Island is also home to the Oldest 4th of July celebration! The historic celebration was established in 1785, and today, a volunteer organization—now roughly 120 people—come together annually to honor civil servants, military and fire personnel of their community.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Bar Harbor was voted the #1 Fourth of July celebration in America AND recognized by National Geographic as one of the top ten in the U.S. The festivities include fireworks, scavenger hunt, craft fair, parade and more. And who could beat that view?

New Britain, Connecticut

The 29th annual “Great American Boom” returns to Willow Brook Park in New Britain, CT! Estimated to have 40,000 visitors just in the past few years, the show is a dazzling drive-up firework display ($10 car pre-registration required).

Boston, Massachusetts

Celebrations will look different this year with the Boston Pop’s televised July 4th Spectacular and fireworks occurring in two locations! Those in Tanglewood can enjoy live performances from the Boston Pops, John Baptiste—bandleader of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and legendary singer Mavis Staples. The fireworks finale will display over Boston Common.
